From: Steve To: God Address: Heaven
Dear God, I would like the gifts / more of the gifts I have listed. I am thankful that I can ask for them. I have not been a good man this year, however at this time of year, I think of the birth of Your Son on earth, and He was good all of His years on earth – and always has and always will be good. He died in my place and took my punishment and offers me freedom, so I am writing to You with this list. I have left my burdens and sin at the foot of the cross for you to take away as they are the only things I can offer You in return for your gifts. Thank You Yours expectantly Steve
1. The Holy Spirit “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”Luke 11
2. Treasure “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Matthew 13:44
3. To become less He must become greater; I must become less.’ Mark 3:30
4. Christ What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain ChristPhilippians 3.8 5. A change of scenery One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek:.... to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
6. An incredible mind ....we have the mind of Christ.1 Corinthians 2:16 7. A new me Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here!2 Corinthians 5:17 8. To be loved But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Romans 5:8 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
